Ok, so you had Home and Business on windows and you now have a Mac. There is no Home and Business for the Mac, it is only available on the Windows Version. You would either need to use Quicken Deluxe which is the closest match or you need to install Parallels on your Mac, which gives you a windows virtual machine, and then install Home. 
That's because Intuit is continuing its policy of 'sunsetting' Quicken versions after three years. It only supports the current and previous three versions of the app with online features. Older versions continue to function, but they can't download financial data (transactions, stock prices, etc.) from online services.
I keep thinking what they did to owners of existing/past software must be illegal in some way. This article reminds me, I need to report them to the BBB (for all the good that'll do). I've been researching Quicken alternatives for Mac recently and been curious about Banktivity and a few others that don't require you to store everything in the cloud or lock your data into a subscription. Any recommendations/endorsements? I've been using Banktivity now for about a month. They JUST released version 7.
It's only $15.00 but the program is basically useless if you can't connect and download transactions. If any of you have downloaded the program and are having the same issue (I imagine everyone will.) please contact Quicken and raise some cain.
